This Rangiora renovation was all about making a smart investment work harder. Our clients had purchased a dated three bedroom, one bathroom property and engaged us to identify cost-effective ways to modernise the home, improve tenant appeal and increase its cashflow potential.
By relocating the laundry into a cupboard, we were able to convert the existing laundry into a second bathroom. We then built a two bedroom cabin at the back of the section, taking the property from three bedrooms and one bathroom to five bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Inside, we kept things simple and practical with a new kitchen, new bathrooms, new flooring, fresh paint, window dressings and an upgraded hot water cylinder to accommodate the two additional bedrooms.
The result is a fresh, functional rental property with significantly better cashflow potential, without spending money where it wasn’t needed.
